Happy New Year everyone! We’ve reached the halfway point of Rotary Year 2024-25 and President Jared's term as club president. 

At this week's meeting, Jared will lead with an opportunity to reflect on the first half of the year - achievements, challenges, learning experiences and growth opportunities. His thoughtful presentation will also address where we are, identify areas where we can improve, and set the tone for the second half of the year.

This meeting will help us reconnect with the vision for the year and ensure that we’re all working in harmony to achieve our goals.

Jared's focus will be on the importance of collaboration, the value of our committee system, and how we can continue to make Rotary a habit in our lives.

Ron and Louise will hose a wine fellowship on Sunday January 5 from 4-6pm on their back deck which will be decorated as a European Holiday market. Dress warmly. They will have an outside heater and fire table, but plan to go inside if it is too cold. Please bring a bottle of wine or a non sweet snack. They will serve Gluewein (mulled wine), gingerbread treats, and non alcoholic beverages, etc.

At the club's first regular meeting at Vashti, Marta and board members will revisit progress made on addressing issues identified by members in our membership satisfaction study in May 2024 and update membership on financials, projects, goals, what's ahead for the last half of this Rotary year. Recently elected Thomas County Sheriff Tim Watkins will be our speaker. Sheriff Watkins will update members on issues and opportunities as he takes the leadership role.   Watkins is the first new Sheriff in decades and follows Sheriff Carlton Powell who retired in 2024 after almost 50 years in the position.
